Collect, build, paint, play – that’s their tagline and they are here to help and satiate your needs for the well-known table miniature game, Warhammer.
Originating from Games Workshop since the 1970s, it used to be known as ‘Citadel’ until it was later changed. Now, Warhammer has more than 400 retail stores worldwide with its head corporate office in Nottingham, UK.
At the Warhammer store, it’s a giant playground for long-time players, and for those who have just got to know about it, it’ll be like finding yourself in Narnia. And if you’re wondering whether you’re too old or young to play the game, don’t worry! The Warhammer games and store are open to all ages and genders.
The store provides everything that you need to play or start yourself off in the game – they sell a wide array of original Warhammer models and sets, and hobby equipment supplies like brushes, glues, paints, tools, and dices that you need to build and paint them. The best part is – you don’t necessarily have to play the game; if you’re into painting figurines, then this place is also for you! All you have to do is get a figurine from the shop and you can start painting.
The store’s staffs are very friendly and helpful too, willing to assist customers in teaching them to play the games, interact with those who share the same hobby or give customers tips painting their miniatures.
If you’re still wondering how the game works, you don’t have to worry as the store has starter kits or boxes that contain 53 models, rule books and dices. The game is definitely not to be played alone, as you will either need a friend to play a one-against-one or a team vs team. There are different ways to play the game: open play – the standard way of playing it, narrative play – where you can reenact a battle scene of your pick, and match play which are tournaments. Grand tournaments are also held yearly.
Whether you’re a seasoned fan, a curious novice or just interested in painting, Warhammer awaits you!
