Apom! is a homegrown lifestyle store that sells quirky mugs, T-shirts and the likes with a generous dose of local humor — our infamous ‘rojak’ lingo.
APOM, a clever play of words for A Piece Of Malaysia launched in 2016 as a token to celebrate Malaysian culture via novelty items such as T-Shirts and mugs. One of the founders, Kelvin Long started APOM to create unique souvenier options for tourist to bring back to their country instead of the usual batik or KLCC figurines. Also, he was inspired to make funny and borderline controversial prints with the revamp of famous logos with funny Malaysian saying like mahal bro, syok sendiri, macha, got Ong and many more.
Recently, APOM launched its first pop-up store right beside Ben’s Independent Grocer in Publika, selling their own APOM goods as well as curated items from Rojak Culture, Bingka, Noox KL, and Fit Rebel. According to Kelvin, he said their slogan T-shirts are their best-sellers because of the wittiness and accurate reference to the current socioeconomy climate.

As an alternative, Apom! also has an e-commerce site that sells their products for the same price. Apom!’s mantra is simply about showcasing Malaysian’s sense of humor in products form and people at Apom! believes that we are more than just durians, hornbills, and concrete landmarks.
If you are in the hunt for a humorous gift for a friend or family member, do not forget to visit Apom! store at Publika at Level UG – Lot 80, right next to Ben’s Independent Grocer.
