Whistle for Help Campaign : Whistling Your Way To Safety
A whistle is deemed one of the most powerful weapons one can own as a mean of defense. Mont Kiara Community Society initiates Mont Kiara Whistle Campaign to safeguard the safety and harmony of the community, just a whistle away.
Resilience is the word to describe the tight-knit community of Mont Kiara as the illustrious team behind Mont Kiara Community Society (MKCS) led by Carol Lee launched this movement on the 6th of May at Majapahit at Arcoris Mont Kiara. It was a great turn-up at the event at tea time as residents who turned up were briefed about the campaign and the significance of a whistle as a mean of defense.
The campaign was inaugurated by Tan Sri Datuk Lee Lam Thye, who is the Senior Vice Chairman of the Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation who shared a few words about the importance of unity for the enhancement of community living. He also cautioned about the need to work hand-in-hand with authorities when it comes to handling culprits at hands and praised MKCS for working closely with the authorities such as the Sri Hartamas Police Station, Sri Hartamas Fire and Rescue Department as well as Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (Segambut branch) and SCM Services Sdn. Bhd.

The brief event was concluded with a ‘Whistle Walk’ demo whereby attendees are encouraged to gather outside with whistle provided for a short 15-minute walk to create awareness of the newly launched campaign.

The event ended in high spirit as attendees returned back to the starting point at Majapahit. Majapahit was also a sponsor for this event as they offered a luxe space and delectable high-tea spread for guests. For more information on this event and others, please refer here.
