Super Saigon serves Vietnamese delights that compliment both hot and wet seasons in the Klang Valley. Prawn spring rolls for a hot day, and the warmth from a bowl pho on a rainy day — cant decide? Have both of them! Here’s how we did it.
Super Saigon is the new kid on the block in Sri Hartamas, but certainly, it isn’t a noob in the business (owing to its popularity at their TTDI branch). Super Saigon is an Australian-inspired Pho joint which serves authentic beef and chicken pho, refreshing spring rolls, salad, banh mi, and more Vietnamese local beverages and desserts. Located in Sri Hartamas, Super Saigon quickly became a favourite amongst residents and here’s why :
The goodness of bone broth.
Pho is the traditional Vietnamese soup that is made with a slow-cooked bone broth and is served with vermicelli noodles, protein(s) of choice, and a handful of fresh toppings, such as Thai basil, mint, fresh lime juice, and bean sprouts. Here at Super Saigon, they keep it pork-free and halal certified by serving beef and chicken broth with their Pho. Essentially, pho is a wholesome meal because of the slow-cooked bone broth which is rich with collagen(drawn from the cartilage), minerals and protein from the meat. Also, the addition of fresh Asian herbs, not only gives fragrant and flavour, but also packs the meal with vitamins and fiber.
Vegetarian, don’t worry, they have your backs by offering a vegetarian pho too, so everyone is happy.
Lightweights and rolls.
If soup doesn’t cut out for you, Super Saigon has an extensive menu which includes scrumptious spring rolls and sandwiches. One of Vietnamese classics as well as a best seller, rice paper prawns and vegetable rolls with homemade peanut dipping sauce. They offer both crispy fried and fresh rolls, as well as banh mi if you love freshly made baguette sandwiches.
Serious caffeine punch.
There’s nothing addictive as the traditional Vietnamese coffee —and Super Saigon has it all. Vietnamese Ice Coffee is an intensely brewed coffee concentrate that drips down into a tall glass of ice and generous dollops of condensed milk. As good as it sounds, Super Saigon’s take on the Vietnamese coffee definitely do not disappoint.
Did we mention the gorgeous decor at Super Saigon to top off the whole experience pho-real? The enticing palette of blues and white with pops of gold is total #cafegoals so definitely gather your friends and family for a date because trust us when we say its pho’o’clock everyday, anytime.
